NSB Dress Code
2024/2025 School Year

We will be participating in a new dress code provided by Dance This Way, of Concord, MA for the 2024-2025 School Year. *Please note that this dress code does not apply to the 2024 Summer Programs.

 

All students must follow the required dress code below, both at the studio and at home during virtual learning, if necessary. We believe that adding the opportunity for students to self-identify their gender helps us to better understand and serve our student population.

No additional attire, accessories, or jewelry should be worn in class or on stage. Dancers with long hair should have their hair tied neatly back in a bun. If hair is short, it should not hang in the face. No leg warmers or other warm-up gear are permitted.

  • Black Biking Shorts (Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Levels I & II)

  • Black M-Stevens tights (Levels III - Conservatory) Style #1099

  • White Ballet Slippers, White Thin Socks *No sports socks

Leotard Dress Code for Conservatory:

  • Child Size Leotard: Black Nikolay "Little Charlotte" Leotard (#DAD1930MPN)

  • Adult Size Leotard: Black Nikolay "Charlotte" Leotard (#DA1930MPN)

  • Pink Body Wrappers Tights with seam: Child (#C31), Adult (#A45) or Pink Euroskins with Seam Child (#219C), Adult (#210) *If the makers do not have natural skin tone colors in stock, students should choose the make and color which is closest to their natural skin tone.

  • Black Bullet Pointe Skirts (Purchase at NSB for $30.00)

  • Pink Leather Ballet Slippers and Canvas Skin Colored Ballet Slippers (for Contemporary Ballet): Students should choose the make and color which is closest to their natural skin tone.

  • Black Bloch Belle Practice Tutu

  • No leg warmer or other warm-up gear are permitted.
