Support the Ballet
Celebrating 55 Years of Dance
What began in humble beginnings with nine neighborhood children in founder, Sandra McNaught’s, living room, has grown into one of the most respected dance institutions globally and a cornerstone of arts education in the greater Boston community. Northeast School of Ballet, for over half a century, has shaped the next generation of children, dreamers, and artists.
Today, Northeast School of Ballet, located in Reading, MA, is home to a vibrant community for all ages. Opening its doors to the youngest pre-ballet dancers taking their very first steps, to the pre-professional Conservatory trainees preparing for the world stage. NSB is fueled by the incredible support of our audiences, patrons, and corporate partners, who believe in our mission and the power of the arts to uplift, inspire, and transform.
Please support NSB’s capital campaign to raise $550,000. Together, we can ensure that the artistic legacy continues in our studios, to serve future generations with the same passion, creativity, and care that began in a small living room 55 years ago.
Your impact will secure:

-
That NSB’s adaptive ballet team, including dance instructors and physical therapists, will continue to bring the joy of dance to children with disabilities in a comprehensive ballet program providing instruction in ballet technique, history, and performance experiences. The Adaptive Ballet Program offers a well-rounded, enriching, and accessible ballet education in a distraction-free, supportive environment.
-
That NSB never denies a student of dance because a family's finances will not allow it. Your donation will provide a dance education and develop the artist in a child you sponsor.
-
That NSB’s S.T.A.R.S (Selected Tickets Available for Regional Services), founded in 1996, may continue to encourage and educate individuals of all ages about ballet, and introduce the art to those who might otherwise not be exposed to it, nor have the opportunity to attend a performance, through offering tickets at a reduced rate or complimentary admission.
-
That NSB’s Young Choreographers’ Showcase continues to allow inspiring teenage choreographers to create works, express themselves through dance, and raise awareness towards civic issues that help give back and strengthen the communities we serve.
-
That NSB can provide a 2025/2026 season with two full-length ballets, including The Nutcracker and Cinderella, along with a Fall Series and Spring Demonstration that will present a mixed bill by award-winning choreographers and, for the first time, perform an excerpt from George Balanchine’s iconic ballet, Serenade.
