After 55 extraordinary years of educating, inspiring, and enriching the lives of generations of young artists, Northeast School of Ballet and Northeast Youth Ballet will be entering a hiatus for the 2026–2027 season.

Following the partial collapse of our historic building and the extensive repairs required to preserve and restore this cherished space, we have faced challenges that have made it impossible to continue our regular school-year programming at this time. As a result, our school and company will enter a hiatus while we complete this important work and thoughtfully re-envision the future of our organization, preserving the artistry, excellence, and traditions that have defined NSB/NYB for more than five decades.

Although we will not offer our regular school-year program during the 2026–2027 season, our commitment to our dance community remains unwavering. As we regroup, rebuild, and plan for the future, we encourage you to visit our website and follow us on social media for updates, announcements, and information about future dance opportunities as they become available.

To every student, family, alumnus, faculty member, volunteer, donor, and audience member, thank you for being part of our remarkable journey. Your support has touched countless lives and helped build a legacy that will always remain close to our hearts.

While we pause today, we remain committed to the future of dance in our community. We are hopeful that this is simply an intermission and that, in time, the curtain will rise once again.
