NSB Dress Code

All students must follow the required dress code below, both at the studio and at home during virtual learning. 

We are pleased to share several dance supply stores that are carrying our dress code items. Please call stores in advance to see if they have your size in stock.

No additional attire, accessories or jewelry should be worn in class or on stage. Girls should have their hair tied neatly back in a bun. Boys should not have hair hanging in face.

Girls in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Levels I & II:

  • Pink Leather Ballet Slippers (Capezio or Bloch) If Capezio or Bloch does not have natural skin tone colors for dancers in stock, students should choose the make and color which is closest to their natural skin tone or the color they feel most comfortable wearing.

  • Black Wear Moi “Diane” Camisole Leotard

  • Pink Body Wrappers Tights (#C80) or Pink Euroskins Tights (#219C) *If the maker do not have natural skin tone colors in stock, students should choose the make and color which is closest to their natural skin tone or the color they feel most comfortable wearing.

Conservatory Trainee Girls:
